Praise the Lord!! We have just received our final approval from SIM. We are headed for Mukinge Hill Academy in Zambia. We will shortly receive further information from SIM and will be able to provide more information.
The application process for this time away has proven to be thorough and detailed. It is something we really did not dwell on prior to starting the process but when we stopped to think about it we concluded that it is necessary. It is a big step to head off for almost a year. Not nearly as huge as committing to missions full time but still a big decision.
Brian will spend 11 months at the school and Jennifer will be there for 6 months. The school is part of the support network for the missionary established hospital in Mukinge and as such our presence helps the medical missions extend their services. The school also offers quality education to local children. We will also be involved in supporting the local church.
We will be reaching out to people to form a support team for we know that we are not in this alone. We will need consistent prayer support to make the maximum impact and be of the greatest value. We will also need financial partners to make this possible.
