End of Week 3

End of Week 3

We have now completed 3 weeks of school. It was certainly a tough 3 weeks. I am enjoying being at the main school site. Well it is the only site now that I am there and not up the hill. The most pressing difficulty in the first 3 weeks was the lack of water. This was so much so that we did have to close the school for a day to permit us to bring in water to clean toilets and other areas. We were very blessed as the day we closed the school was the day they got the water system back up and running so we did not have to cart the needed water to the school . We waited and then were able to use the regular water supply to thoroughly clean the areas that needed it. We now have a full water tank so we thank the Lord for this provision.

We are also making headway in understanding the needs of the administration role. The Head Teacher is leaving for home assignment in just 3 more weeks!! Please do pray that we will understand all of the things that need to be done in her absence - eg. Paying the teachers, the pension plan, utilities etc - so that things run smoothly.

The computer course is delayed until the Nursing School arranges for additional internet access. The second half of the course will be changed to a more individual study type to allow for separation of internet use which we hope will make things faster for the few using it at any one time.

We think of our prayer and financial supporters often, both in prayer and in speaking with each other. We know we are blessed to have such a group as you as our team. We thank you and ask God’s blessings upon you.

  1. Gives us dwellers in the Land o' (Great) Lakes grumbling about mounting snowbanks pause to consider what it might be like to be short on water.
